Bundesliga app

Problem: Be able to search Bundesliga games by date and see them on a map.Solution: Utilize Glide Apps to easily make an app that would show the wanted information. Also, add other useful features such as directions and stadium infos.Steps: I started by creating a data set of Bundesliga teams and their stadiums in the Glide tables. Then I extracted Bundesliga match data to Google Sheets and did some tweaking with the values to get them to match my existing data. The match data is a static table and needs to be updated manually. I connected the data set to Glide and made relations to existing tables so that the app would be more user friendly allowing the user dynamically move between the items.Further improvements: There are many features that could be added: written arrival info to stadiums, matchday info, standings, other leagues etc. The most important improvement would be automating match data collection, so that the data would be updated automatically.Limitations: The technical limitations of the Glide Apps didn’t allow filtering by date in a way I wanted to, so the original problem was not solved. Also, the free version of Glide doesn’t work well with the maps due the limited number of allowed locations.

3D printed light switch cover

Problem: Smart lighting solution makes old light switch obsolete. In addition, turning power off would disable smart features and scheduled lighting.Solution: 3D print the cover for the light switch.Steps: I took the measures and designed the model for printing with Tinkercad using Youtube tutorials. Next, I booked a time for a library 3D printer and printed the model. Voilà!Further improvements: Could make a different shape or a different color cover.
